CANTO: Crown The Empire, Anthrax, Black Label Society, and More

Coming at you really late tonight because there was just that much going on today.

There were a lot of tour announcements today, so we’ll share a few at random. Up first, we have Crown The Empire, who have announced the 10th anniversary tour for The Fallout. Those U.S. dates cover May 30th through July 3rd, and support is in the form of D.R.U.G.S., The Word Alive, and Before I Wake.
From there, we have a fairly massive tour featuring Anthrax, Black Label Society, and Hatebreed. Those are July and August dates, and tickets go on sale this coming Friday. They can be picked up here, or here.
And the third of three new tours we’ll drop in here features The Acacia Strain, with Malevolence, I AM, and 156/Silence. Those are June and July dates, and tickets will be available here.
Rounding out with a couple non-concert things, we also have a new single from Luminous Vault, titled “Ancient North”. Animate The Emptiness is out next month through Profound Lore.
And finally, a new video from Valley of the Sun, for “Devil I’ve Become”. The Chariot is set for a June 17th release through Ripple Music and Fuzzorama Records, and can be purchased here.

I don’t even know where to begin with how annoyed I am… but at least there’s a lot going on today.

Starting with Amorphis, who are returning to North America in April and May with Sylvaine and Hoaxed. Of course, they’ll be supporting Halo, which drops on February 11th through Atomic Fire. Tickets for the tour go on sale this coming Friday here.
Switching gears, we’re got a new song and video from Hatebreed to share today. Check out the clip for “Instinctive (Slaughterlust)” here. That’s taken from Weight of the False Self, which is out now through Nuclear Blast. Oh, they’ve got some live dates in May and June as well.

W.A.S.P. are celebrating their 40th anniversary with a massive tour this coming late October through early December with Armored Saint. Here’s a bit of a preview video, and tickets can be found here.
The obvious choice is to close with some Abbath. Details surrounding the new album have finally been revealed. Dread Reaver is set for a March 25th release through Season of Mist, and the video for the first single, “Dream Cull”, is available below.

Hurray! Festival news that is relevant to me!

And that, of course, refers to Fire In The Mountains. A new batch of bands was announced, including Yellow Eyes, Visigoth, Lykotonon, and more. The 2022 version of this festival is going to be absolutely massive. Tickets are available at this location.
Megadeth has named a bassist for the upcoming tour with Lamb of God, Trivium, and Hatebreed. James LoMenzo will be stepping in for that run of shows, after Megadeth parted ways with David Ellefson. Those dates start August 20th in Austin, Texas. Tickets are available here.
Canadian technical death metallers Deviant Process premiered a new song from Nurture, titled “The Hammer of Dogma”. That album is set for an October 15th release through Season of Mist.
I’m going to drop in a couple new videos today, one of which comes from Benediction. Here’s the new video for “Tear Off These Wings”, from their most recent album, Scriptures, which dropped last October through Nuclear Blast.
And lastly, The Devil’s Trade released a new live video for “Három Árva”, a track taken from last year’s The Call of the Iron Peak (Season of Mist). Give it a watch below. It’s awesome.

Ok, there is a lot to get to today, let’s have at it.

Is anyone else either staying up super late or waking up super early to pre-order the Cinematic Tour 2020 release from Enslaved? I’m going to do my best, because everything I’ve seen to this point looks absolutely incredible.
Behemoth are reissuing one their best works, Evangelion, on vinyl through Metal Blade Records. The official release is June 11th, and there a couple different variants available. Pre-order that one here.
French black metallers Seth have released a new song and video, commemorating the anniversary of the Notre Dame fire, titled “Les Océans du Vide!”. That’s taken from La morsure du Christ, which is out on May 7th through Season of Mist. Check out the video right here.
Bodysnatcher shared a cover of the classic Hatebreed track “Smash Your Enemies”. There’s a limited edition 7″ available here, or you can just check out the visualizer on YouTube.

Hatebreed: Now available in beer! The “Live For This Lager”, brought forth by Witchdoctor Brewing in Southington, CT, will be available in cans starting this coming Saturday.
Puscifer have announced a global livestream event scheduled for October 30th. Tickets, as well as exclusive merch for the event, can be acquired here.
Plague Years dropped a guitar playthrough for “Incantation”, a track taken from the recently released new album Circle Of Darkness, which is out through Entertainment One.
Auðn released the third single from Vökudraumsins fangi yesterday, which you can check out below. Their latest album is out on October 30th through Season of Mist.
