I managed to squeeze in a trail run after work, so naturally I’m in a way better mood than I usually am on a Monday night. Yay!
- Let’s start with Rivers of Nihil, who dropped a new single just as they set off on the Chaos & Carnage Tour with the likes of Cattle Decapitation, Carnifex, and more. Give “Criminals” a listen here to get a taste of an upcoming new album… which we’ll learn more about later.
- The Knotfest 2024 lineup popped up today, and it features the likes of Till Lindemann (Rammstein), Knocked Loose, Hatebreed, and obviously a lot more. Including Slipknot… which I don’t feel I should need to mention? Anyway, that event is on September 21 and tickets will be available here.
- Banisher, the Polish death metal act featuring Decapitated, Hate, and Fleshgod Apocalypse alumni, revealed a new track today titled “Demons”. Their fifth album is just about underway, so we’ll stay close to this one in the months ahead.
- In search of something more theatrical to sprinkle in today, I landed on the new Summoner’s Circle video, “Shroud of Humanity”. That one is taken from Cult, which is out on May 24 through Black Lion Records.
- And, of course, we’ll close out the monstrous new standalone single from Gaerea titled “World Ablaze”. Yep… that is definitely one of my favorite projects going right now. I still can’t get enough of their cathartic black metal. Give. Me. More.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
