I almost skipped this today, but I couldn’t ignore all the fun stuff happening out there.

To start, we have new material from WAKE. Check our their new single, titled “Infinite Inward”. Their sixth full-length album will be out on July 22nd through Metal Blade, titled Thought Form Descent, and we are all very excited about it.
From there, we’ve got updates from King Parrot. The Australian grind crew are releasing their debut EP from 2011, titled The Stench Of Hardcore Pub Trash, on vinyl for the first time through Housecore Records and Dead Set Records. That will be out on June 30th.
Reunited thrash collective Mantic Ritual have returned with the new music video for “Crusader”, their first new material since 2009. They’ve also got a new EP coming on September 2nd, so we’ll keep an eye out for that.
Italian death metallers Hierophant are releasing a new full-length, Death Siege, on August 26th through Season of Mist. Check out the video for the title-track here.
To wrap up the day, we’ll opt for the new stuff from Vomit Forth. Below is the new video for “Predatory Savior”. Seething Malevolence is out on July 8th through Century Media.

CANTO: Death Angel, Horna, King Parrot, and More

One more for the week. Only. One. More.

Death Angel dropped a surprise cover of Queen’s/David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” through a digital EP of the same name. This is one of those songs that I personally don’t think anyone should touch, but hopefully someone out there will tell me if it’s good or not…
Horna have set the release date for their tenth studio album. Kuoleman Kirjo will be out on December 8th through W.T.C. Productions, and a new track, “Saatanan Viha”, is available for your listening pleasure right now.
Vessel of Light have released the second single from their upcoming new album. This one is called “There’s No Escape”. Last Ride is out on October 23rd through Nomad Eel Records.
King Parrot released a new animated music video for “Kick Up A Stink”. They have a limited edition EP, titled Holed Up In The Lair, that just released today through Housecore Records/Agonia Records, as well.

Album Review: Child Bite – “Burnt Offerings: Covers And Rarities 2010-2017”

What strikes you first about Child Bite is that this noise/hardcore band has so much charisma to spare. The band is magnetic in front of a microphone, and, in spite of a multitude of lineup changes, the core of vocalist Shawn Knight and bassist Sean Clancy has been unrelenting over its career spanning more than a dozen EPs and albums. Such is a feat for any band, and its return to Housecore Records (which issued 2016’s Negative Noise and several EPs) may give you a sense of how Child Bite has maintained that spark over time as is offered here on Burnt Offerings: Covers And Rarities 2010-2017.
