CANTO: In Flames, Suicide Silence, Kreator, and More

I didn’t work today, but getting Canto out for you fine folks still counts for something, right?

  • To lead off the week, we have some announcements from Suicide Silence. Remember… You Must Die will be out through Century Media on March 10, and with that announcement they shared a music video for “Alter of Self”. It’s an entertaining clip, I’m not gonna lie.
  • Kreator and Sepultura are coming together for the “Klash of the Titans” North America tour this coming May and June. The dates kick off in Harrisburg and wrap up in NYC, and they’ll be joined by Death Angel and Spiritworld. You can scoop up tickets this coming Friday.
  • Swedish metallers Beneath My Feet unveiled a new single today, titled “One More Time”, which of course came with a music video. Give that a watch here. In Parts, Together is scheduled for a March 3rd release through Noble Demon.
  • Closing out, we have another heavy new single from In Flames, titled “Meet Your Maker”. Give the video for the new track a watch below. As a reminder, Foregone is set for a February 10th release through Nuclear Blast, and yes I did in fact lock in my preorder several months ago.

CANTO: Ensiferum, Oceanhoarse, Sequestrum, and More

Today was exhausting, yet productive!

  • Ensiferum have announced the “Seafearer’s Dream” European headlining tour next March and April. It’s a shorter run, only including 10 dates, with local support on each date. So if you happen to be on the other side of the Atlantic early next year, have at it.
  • Sequestrum, the death grind unit out of Copenhagen, unleashed “Preserved to Last”. Give that a listen over at Decibel. That’s the first single off of their debut EP, Pickled Preservation, which drops on January 27 through Extremely Rotten Productions.
  • Sludge doom band 71TonMan are following last year’s EP with Of End Times, which is officially out on March 3 through Transcending Obscurity Records. There are a couple of tracks already streaming over on their Bandcamp, and they are heavy. Give em a listen and get pummeled.
  • This goes back a couple of days, but news is slow this time of year. Oceanhoarse revealed a new lyric video for “Carved in Stone”, a track taken from Heads Will Roll. That can be viewed below, and the album drops on February 17 through Noble Demon.

CANTO: Lorna Shore, Eluveitie, Gomorra, and More

And now I’m in Acadia National Park. Good times. Happy weekend, all!

  • Leading off, we have new material from Eluveitie to share. The lyric video for “Exile of the Gods” is available here. I didn’t see any word on a new album, but you can catch them on the road with Amorphis in Europe if you happen to be over there.
  • From there, we’ll jump over to Wage War. The hard rockers unveiled a new video for “Godspeed (Stripped)” today, a new take on a track originally from 2021’s Manic. Give it a watch here, and catch Wage War on tour with A Day to Remember starting late next month.
  • Next, we have some Swiss thrash. Gomorra shared a new video for “Stand United”, the latest sample taken from Dealer of Souls. That album is set for a December 9th release through Noble Demon.
  • Ritual Death are releasing their self-titled debut album on December 5th through Shadow Records, and you can preview what’s to come with “Lunae” over on Bandcamp.
  • It’s Lorna Shore release date, so naturally we’ll end our week with the new video clip for “Pain Remains III: In a Sea of Fire”, the epic conclusion to Pain Remains. That album is available through Century Media.
