It’s raining quite heavily (again). Managed to still get a run in (again).

  • Trelldom, the Norwegian project from the mind of Gaahl, revealed “I Speak Forgotten Voices”. That’s final advance single from …by the word…, which is out on May 29th through Prophecy Productions.
  • South Wales trio Holding Absence announced details around their third album. Modern Life Is Lonely is set for an August 28th release through their new label home Sumerian Records. Give “Reflection” a listen.
  • Chicago metal outfit Repentance are also releasing their third album in the near future. Retaliate is coming on July 17th through Noble Demon and they shared the title track from that as the leading single.
  • If you’re looking for a little grindcore in your Thursday, try Meltification on for size. Their self-titled debut album will be out on May 29th through Extremely Rotten Productions and “‘Nuclear Death Threat” is streaming now.
  • Let’s close out with the new stuff from Fimbul Winter. Following their 2025 debut EP What Once Was, they gave us “Crowned in Ash”. I like melodic death metal. I like this. More please.
