Fires in the Distance and Dawn of Ouroboros announced a run of live dates this coming October, titled The Perseverance of Light tour. Alas, nothing anywhere near me, but here’s the full schedule for those that can make it happen.
Canadian progressive metallers Oni dropped a beast of a new single, titled “Silence In A Room Of Lies”. That track features Jared Dines, a name I haven’t heard in a minute. There’s a music video for that one you can check out here.
Next, we’ve got some stuff from Primal Fear. Check out the latest single and video, “Another Hero”, the first taste from Code Red. That new full-length is slated for a September 1 release through Atomic Fire.
Nuclear Power Trio announced a new album, Wet Ass Plutonium. Their sophomore album will be out on July 28 through Metal Blade, and a video for “Nyetflix and Chill” can be seen directly below. I’m entertained.

Good morning, it’s time to metal. Here’s some news you might have missed from yesterday:

- Leading off, the battle for the rights to Entombed‘s band name appears to have been decided in favor of the non-“A.D.” contingent of the band — a.k.a. everyone other than possible-Tolkien-dwarf L-G Petrov. Hopefully that’ll be the end of this almost-as-stupid-as-the-two-Queensrÿches saga.

Well, here’s a massive new tour. Children Of Bodom, supported by Abbath, Exmortus, and Oni. I would definitely be at this show… if there was a Boston date. Alas.
Scary stuff at a recent Megadeth show. During an August 20th kick in Paraguay, Megadeth had to exit the stage early after a barricade was was broken and fans began throwing glass bottles. Can we honestly get our shit together humanity?
All Behemoth updates make their way onto Nine Circles. At least when I have a say in the matter. According to Orion, the band will be taking their time with the next release. There were whispers about 2017 bringing us some new material. According to the bassist, that may be the case, but there is no targeted time frame.
Let’s keep the Metallica updates coming as well. According to Lars, the legends will be looking to do some serious touring in the United States come 2017. Might I finally go see them? …I have no idea.
