Welcome to another edition of our Saturday morning playlist. We’ve got a house full of new picks from Judicator, Napalm Death, Pig Destroyer, and much more. There’s bound to be something you’ll like in there, stop what are you waiting for?
Third part to this. THIRD. And no end in sight. Whatever. Don’t go insane, keep it tuned right here with us as we bring you live footage, actual videos, and a killer collab thanks to the fine folks at Two Minutes To Late Night. We’ve got the newest from Twilight Fauna, some old Acid Bath, a new..ish track from Pyrexia, grind from Nasum and Pig Destroyer (and more), and a whole slew of other gems to help stave off the mundaneness of looking at the walls or naps. Actually, I love naps but damn, enough is enough. I digress, quarantine with us and raise a glass. Ours is raised to you. Stay safe and well, friends.
I saw Wayfarer and Falls of Rauros last night and now my life is whole.
As they kick off their European tour today/tonight, Queensryche have dropped a new lyric video for “Bent”, which was pulled from their most recent record titled The Verdict. Check it out.
Death metallers Visceral Disgorge are streaming a new track today, also in lyric video form. This one is called “Necrotic Biogenesis” and it will be featured on the upcoming Slithering Evisceration, which is slated for a September 13th release via Agonia Records. They have upcoming U.S. dates starting in September as well.
Asthma Castle, the stoner metal project featuring members of Pig Destroyer and Misery Index, have upcoming live dates in August in conjunction with the release of their latest effort, titled Mount Crushmore, which is available now.
Because streaming new tracks is apparently the theme today, let’s check out one from The Great Old Ones titled “The Omniscient”. It’s long and I am enjoying it immensely. Cosmicism will be out on October 25th via Season of Mist.
Welcome to another weekend folks. I have relatively little gas in the tank, so to speak, so this Saturday couldn’t possibly come fast enough for me. Whatever sickness wormed its way into my body has been taking its sweet time leaving, so today we’re keeping things short and sweet. You all should know why you’re here, anyway.
Or maybe you don’t. In which case: hi! We put together a playlist of our favorite songs we’ve all been listening to over the past week, just for you, and we do it every Saturday. Check it out below, and check back in next week to see what else we listen to in our free time.
We’re hitting you with this one on Labor Day so hopefully all of today’s visitors have the day off and the time to actually go through this list of new releases. That also means NO MONDAY BLUES. Until tomorrow. Ugh. Nevermind that for now, keep reading.
Starting us off is everyone’s favorite Brazilians Krisiun with their eleventh full length, Scourge of the Enthroned, and honestly if it weren’t for the rest of this list, I could make a home inside their robust ass kicking death metal. But, there’s MA’s Morne up next with To the Night Unknown and I’m not sure if you’ve been following this band or not but you’ll want to now —- this band is doing truly amazing and unique things with doom and post-metal. And then there’s Pig Destroyer who cut the strings on a six year silence with the abrasive yet instantly catchy Head Cage, one thing I’ve learned over the past several years is these guys can do no wrong and whether you’re into grindcore or not GET THIS ALBUM. And on top of all that is And All Will Be Desolation from Allfather which I have tagged below as beard metal – it’s in their catch phrase, look it up – but in reality this thing is a smorgasbord of sludge, death metal and beat down hardcore that is the best work this UK band has done to date, check out “Citadels” for proof – good god man.
I told you today was good. And you haven’t sent the rest yet, much more of this to come below. If you’re off, enjoy and happy Labor Day. If you’re working…well, that sucks and happy Labor Day anyway. See you here throughout the week. Continue reading →
