CANTO: Machine Head, Vastum, Carnation, and More

vastum.jpg

Oh, the random things I get stuck doing.

  • Let’s start with the lineup changes over in the Machine Head camp. The Robb Flynn-fronted group welcomes new full-timers: drummer Matt Alston and guitarist Vogg Kiełtyka. You can catch them on the Burn My Eyes 25th Anniversary Tour, if you feel so inclined… and also in Europe.
  • New music from VastumOrificial Purge drops on October 25th through 20 Buck Spin, but you can get a taste through the freshly-released “I On The Knife”. If it wasn’t clear, I’m looking forward to this album.
  • And our daily dose of sludge. Witch Ripper have announced a brief run of shows out west this month, as well as a new music video for “S.L.U. The Hive”. Enjoy.
  • Carnation dropped a new music video for “Plaguebreeder”. The footage was taken from their performance at this year’s Alcatraz Festival. Chapel of Abhorrence is out now on Season of Mist.

CANTO: Aftershock Festival lineup, updates from Septicflesh, and a new video from The Oath

“I had this dream, our planet surviving. The guiding stars always glowing. And all the wealths, the fates of the countries, they’re all rebuilding at the same time. I never fell and always believed it. We could evolve and get older, open thy eyes and let all this flow in. Now see a new hope is growing inside.”

“A perfect body, a twisted mind. Starvation and loathing, we fuck ’til it bleeds. Scratch claw and scream,’til it feels like I’m almost alive… These are the words to justify… All against all.”

CANTO: Mastodon’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Spot, Robb Flynn’s Recovery, and New Gorgoroth!

There is nothing happy about this Monday, so I won’t even go there. Cold, rainy, dark… actually, that’s kinda right up my alley. I lied, everything is great!

No videos today. K, bye.
