CANTO: Marduk, Immortal, The Faceless, Krisiun
It’s really nice out. Should probably stay inside and mess around the internet.
- Marduk have released a new single from their upcoming album, Viktoria, out June 22nd on Century Media. This song is called “Equestrian Bloodlust”. So. Go do that if you want. I guess.
- The Faceless are hitting the road with, well, quite a few bands between the end of June and through July. Fun live band. Go to that.
- I am unhealthily excited about the recent Krisiun news. Their next album, Scourge Of The Enthroned, will be out September 7th. Delicious.
- Oh. So this is last week news but I MUST SHARE. The new Abbath-less Immortal? Off to a good start. At least if this first track, “Northern Chaos Gods”, is any indication. Hooo boy does it rip.

Donuts & CANTO: Bobby Liebling, The Faceless, Possessed and more!
May 15, 2017
Good morning, it’s time to metal. Here’s some news you might have missed from over the weekend:
-
- As per usual, a whole bunch of bands dropped new albums on Friday, including John Frum and Wormwitch. Peep Josh’s recap for a more complete list!
-
- More information has emerged on why human garbage pile Bobby Liebling has been absent from Pentagram‘s recent live dates: turns out he was arrested for first-degree assault of a vulnerable family member. Fuck this dude forever.
CANTO: Enslaved, Wovenwar, Abigail Williams, and more
“The descent of a star, the infernal depth denied, for the buried design of a greater mind.”
- Wovenwar have released details behind their next album, Honor Is Dead, which will be out on October 21st.
- Abigail Williams has announced that Chason Westmoreland will be taking over as their new drummer. He also works with The Faceless. Work on a new album will begin this winter.
- I love when Enslaved does things. Two EPs, The Sleeping Gods and Thorn, which were originally released in 2011, will be released as a compilation on November 11th.
- And shit, how about some Helmet news? Anybody remember these guys? You may not. But they’re back and will be releasing their first album in six years. It’s called Dead To The World and will be out on October 28th.
- Here’s some cool footage of Metallica playing “Sad But True”. Sorry, couldn’t find anything else.

CANTO: Updates from Corey Taylor, a Megadeth tour, and a Led Zeppelin ruling
“Invest your soul, do as your’re told. Life is short for whom the bells toll. You don’t have to doubt again, to fight again, to ever feel no pain again.”
- Corey Taylor has been given some… unique instruction from his doctors. The Slipknot vocalist cannot headbang or jump for awhile. Could be worse I suppose. Could definitely… be worse.
- Definitely a significant tour in the works. Megadeth will be touring with Amon Amarath, Havok, and Metal Church through North America this fall. No dates yet, but a massive lineup for sure.
- Led Zeppelin was recently taken to trial for accusations that they stole material from the Spirit song “Taurus” in their monumental “Stairway to Heaven.” Well, the verdict is in, and the Zep have been found not guilty.
- The Faceless were looking for a new vocalist. It was revealed recently that Ken Sorceron of Abigail Williams will be stepping in for their upcoming live shows. The question, of course, is if he will be filling in full time.
- Here is something kinda cool I stumbled upon. Tech death outfit Mindscar has released a music video for “When The Soul Dies.” Give it a watch/listen below.
