CANTO: Black Lava, Reaping Asmodeia, Eskhaton, and More

I’m still in Maine doing the Maine stuff until tomorrow. It’s been fun, in a few ways.

Let’s start with some Black Lava. The emerging blackened death metal crew are releasing Soul Furnace on November 25 through Season of Mist, and today they unveiled a video for the new track “Northern Dawn”.
Swedish black/death metal legends Necrophobic are reissuing a few classic albums: Darkside, The Third Antichrist, Bloodhymns and Womb Of Lilithu. Those will available through Century Media later this winter, and can be preordered here.
Eskhaton has set November 18 as the release date for a new mini album, Horracle. That will be available through Hells Headbangers, and you can stream a new track titled “Vortexecution” here.
Oakland death rock trio False Figure are releasing Castigations through Transylvanian Recordings on November 1, and a video for “Possession” is available here.
Closing out Monday, we have a new clip from Reaping Asmodeia, for “Simulacra”. That track is taken from Darkened Infinity, which dropped about one year ago through Prosthetic Records. Here’s a link, if you need it.

Well, after a bit of a hiatus due to some really good and some not-so-really good happenings, I’m back to share what music I’m consuming my alcohol with… or is it the other way around? CANTO: Omnium Gatherum, Moon Tooth, Orange Goblin, and More

I can tell the seasons are changing because I haven’t been able to breathe in about a week.

Omnium Gatherum have announced a 2022 North American tour with Allegaeon and Black Crown Initiate. They’ll be touring in support of Origin, which drops on November 5th through Century Media. Those dates are in February and March, and you can purchase your tickets here.
California blackened death metal crew Civerous are releasing their debut full-length, Decrepit Flesh Relic, on November 19th through Transylvanian Recordings. As a sampling of what’s to come, check out “Herodacy” (and get your pre-order on), right here.
Heavy metal legends Orange Goblin have signed on with Peaceville Records. Better still, they’re offering a Halloween Q&A session on Facebook, details of which you can get at their page.
We’re closing today with Moon Tooth, because Moon Tooth happenings are always reasons to celebrate. Check out the video for “Nymphaeaceae” below, out through Pure Noise Records, a track that serves as an early preview of their follow up to 2019’s Crux.
