Welcome to another edition of our Saturday morning mixtape series. This week, we’ve got the stunningly good new single from Thou and Emma Ruth Rundle’s collaborative album, a banger from the upcoming Hellripper album (which I’m looking forward to immensely), and a smattering of tech death for good measure. By now, most of y’all are probably aware that the 2018 World Cup has concluded. On Sunday afternoon, France capped off a dominant tournament run by beating Croatia, 4-2, in the final. And while we’re not still dopey enough to commemorate the occasion with something like the “World Cup of Metal,” (Remember that? Gross.) we also weren’t going to let it go completely unnoticed. Hence, here we are with The Nine Circles ov France!

Fifteen days into 2018 and I’m already blown away by metal’s new releases and equally blown away by what’s to come. It was a busy weekend that was surrounded by a handful of these albums and by last night it hit me that I hadn’t listened to the same album twice (well, I did listen to that Pillärs album more than once). Yea, 2018 looks to rule, hard. Anyway, I need a weekend to rest from my weekend but bills and food and stuff, tough luck and back to work. Moving on, we’ve got another tasty playlist for you that should help wipe the cobwebs away so hit the play button below and don’t forget to keep up with us on YouTube right here. Continue reading →
