2/6/2018. Yes, I do realize putting the date in the body of this post is redundant. No, I don’t care.

Rivers of Nihil have released new album details. Their third full-length will be called Where Owls Know My Name and is set to drop March 16th. You can listen to a new track, “The Silent Life”, right now.
Ozzy Osbourne has announced one more, final, last, forever and ever tour through North America this year. The “No More Tours 2” will feature support from Stone Sour. Link for tickets that go on sale… eventually.
AC/DC will be continuing with Axl Rose on vocals. I guess they are working on new material as well. I don’t think I like this.
In anticipation of their new album, Place Noire, which drops on April 13th, Death Engine have released a new music video for “Modern Life”. Check it out if you’re feeling some hardcore/noise.

Starting with tours is always the easiest thing to do. Ne Obliviscaris will be touring North America with Black Crown Initiate and Starkill. July and August. Or parts of those months at least.
Jesus Christ. AC/DC with Axl Rose United States tour dates have been announced. Would anybody actually go to this? Curious to see what tickets will go for. My guess is 37 cents.
New Behemoth? Is it possible there is new material for an upcoming album? Nergal, on his Instagram account, may have just hinted at something awesome…
Remember how awesome Vhöl is? Well, they’ve dropped a new single that you can check out here called “Dispatch.”
Countless Skies has a new album dropping towards the end of this month. Today we get to check out a new track called “Daybreak”. It’s really, really… nice. I’m hooked.

Insomnium updates are among my favorites! The melodic death metallers have announced that they will be releasing a concept album and book titled Winter’s Gate on September 23rd. I am beyond stoked for this.
Looks like Slayer will be playing this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. I’m sure it’s already sold out. Or something. I don’t know. I don’t give a shit.
One more time from Agalloch. As the other three visionaries expressed their frustration at the situation decided upon by Haughm, it was announced that the Agalloch name would finally meet its terminus. Fitting, I suppose.
Ok, we may shit on DevilDriver quite a bit. And Coal Chamber significantly more than that. But this interview Dez did with Blunt, basically because of the light he shed on the CC situation, may have earned him a point in my mind.

System of a Down fans should be excited about this. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Serj Tankian has revealed that plans for a new album might be in the works.
Ageless wonders Grave Digger will be entering the studio this summer. Apparently they are touring with Blind Guardian again this fall. You may wanna get on that.
I guess it’s been an hour since we last talked about that AC/DC union with Axl Rose. Well, it gets worse than it already was. Axl has confirmed he would be interested in staying with the band if they want him to after this tour.
Here’s a new Hellyeah song called “Human”. Enjoy. Or don’t. I don’t care.

CANTO: Wes Borland, Art of Anarchy, The Acacia Strain, and more

I’m not sure if anyone is aware of this, but Wes Borland had been working on some solo work recently. And now he officially has an album out called Crystal Machete. And ya know what else? It’s pretty goddamn cool.
Well, it looks like Scott Stapp is still trying to do things. The Creed vocalist will be stepping in to front Art of Anarchy. It seems like a very interesting situation to me… but what do I know?
I didn’t see this coming at all! (Sarcasm). After AC/DC informed fans that they would be offering a refund for money paid to see a show fronted by Axl Rose, 7,000 Belgian requested that very refund. Ouch.
How about a tour? The Acacia Strain will be hitting the road with Oceano and Knocked Loose (among others) this summer. Not crazy about those bands, but that’s a pretty solid lineup if that’s your thing.
Finally, here’s a new track from Feared called “Lords Resistance Army”. It doesn’t suck!
