CANTO: Every Time I Die, Lesser Glow, …and Oceans, and More

lesserglow

Quiet day everywhere except in my mind.

  • It seems as though Every Time I Die has teased about half a minute of new music. If anyone has managed to form an opinion off of those brief seconds, the floor is all yours!
  • Not the most surprising thing, but Rocklahoma 2020 has been canceled. The event, scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, made the announcement yesterday. Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot, and Staind were the planned headliners.
  • Lesser Glow have a new album dropping on May 29th through Pelagic Records called Nullity. A track titled “The Great Imitator” is streaming now, and a pre-order link is available for you to take advantage of.
  • We’ll close with a new music video from …and Oceans for the track “Five of Swords”. Their next album, Cosmic World Mother, drops on May 8th through Season of Mist.

CANTO: Spirit Adrift, Tool, Randy Blythe, and More

Did ya miss me?

  • For those that missed it, the Westboro Baptist Church protested the election of Danica Roem to state legislature. No surprise there because, ya know, they’re the worst. The fun part? Randy Blythe countered their protest with… kazoos. And it went super well! He’s such a treasure.
  • Tool updates! No, not album news. But tour dates are kinda fun, right? Why do I feel like I was in this exact same position typing these exact same words last year?
  • How did Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody celebrate one year of sobriety? With a giant tattoo on his dome. Like… what now? Weird flex, but ok. Did I use that right? No? Oh well. I tried.
  • A new Spirit Adrift song dropped over the weekend… and it’s awesome! Check out “Hear Her” below. Their new album, Divided By Darkness, will be out May 10th through 20 Buck Spin.

CANTO: Venom, Five Finger Death Punch, A Perfect Circle, and More

venom2018

I resentfully put this post together tonight.

  • Venom are still doing things apparently. Not sure how I/we are just learning about this now, but their latest album, Storm The Gates, will be out December 14th via Spinefarm Records.
  • I like A Perfect Circle, I really do. But I don’t quite know why they covered AC/DC‘s “Dog Eat Dog”? I supposed it doesn’t really matter what I know. Give it a listen.
  • Five Finger Death Punch have announced their fill-in drummer: Charlie Engen of Scale The Summit. This is a good thing, he’s very talented.
  •  Here’s a video from something called Black Coast, which sounds kinda cool (the name, not the song – I haven’t listened to that yet). The track is called “Ill Minds” and it features on their new EP titled Ill Minds Vol 1 (Primordial Records).

CANTO: Eyehategod, Morbid Angel, and a new video from Clutch

Anselmo

“Spineless from the start, sucked into the part. Circus comes to town, you play the lead clown. Please, please, spreading his disease, living by his story. Knees, knees, falling to your knees, suffer for his glory. You will.”
