CANTO: John 5, Exmortus, Times of Grace, and More

I’m already looking forward to the return of hockey.

  • In anticipation of their upcoming tour together, John 5 and Jared James Nichols are hosting a Facebook live event on Monday, July 26th. The tour I’m referring to starts on August 10th and will run through September 4th. Tickets for those dates can be found here.
  • Thrash veterans Exmortus have also announced a new U.S. tour. Those dates run from July 22nd through August 21st, most of which are out west. So like, that tour starts tomorrow. Did I miss an earlier announcement about this? Anyway, in other news, it looks like a new album is planned for 2022 as well, which is dope.
  • Have you ever sat around just wishing you had a Guns N’ Roses branded bong? Well, if so, opportunity is now knocking… on heaven’s door (I’m so sorry). Here’s the purchase link, but I’m willing to bet it’ll be sold out soon if it isn’t already.
  • Times of Grace, the project featuring Adam D and Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage, shared a new visualizer for “Currents”. Of course, that’s a track taken from the recently released Songs of Loss and Separation, which just dropped last week.

    • Let’s lead off with something that should make our Literati Overlord quite happy: Peter Tagtgren’s industrial project Pain has announced its first-ever North American tour. However, it’s not a very big one — just nine dates in all, supporting Orphaned Land.

All this the same, to do this we part our ways.”
