Things I like: when shuffle mode absolutely hooks you up on a long run.

  • Aborted have announced a new 3-song EP, titled La Grande Massacre, will be out on April 17th. They also announced a small run of shows around that album, beginning April 14th and running through May 17th.
  • Cirith Ungol have revealed details for their next album/first album in forever, which will be called Forever Black. That album drops on April 24th through Metal Blade. You can check out a new track, titled “Legions Arise”, right now.
  • It looks like we are starting to get some Summer Slaughter rumors. If we’re going to take that little nugget at face value, it looks like Deicide will be headlining. Which I am definitely here for. Also, a reminder that you can’t spell “slaughter” without “laughter.”
  • Tribe of Pazuzu recently dropped a new track and lyric video for “King Of All Demons” and it rips quite mightily. The EP of the same name is out on March 6th through Vic Records.

    • Leading off, according to a Facebook post from Jimmy Bower, Eyehategod have begun recording a new album. From a 14-year wait between albums to…hell, we’re just over three removed from Eyehategod. Improvements!
