Salty is fast becoming my summer word. But, honestly, I’m extremely grateful for all the killer metal released so far that has aided and abetted my quest to find the nastiest, angriest, speediest, best bourbon guzzling music around that helps chase the bullshit away. So, there’s the bright side. This week’s new release list is yet another example of a good freaking week as we’ve got death metal from both Fulci and Tombstoner and one of those has a synthy horror B side dedicated to an absolute legend of horror fame (guess which one), extreme black metal from Craven Idol, and sludgy-charred-hardcore from Erdve. Busy day out there today!
- I woke up to a newsletter from Der Weg einer Freiheit this morning, which is always a good way to start a day. The black metallers out of Germany have signed a fresh contract with Season of Mist, and are preparing a new album for next year.
- Cult of Luna shared a new track today, which is equally as exciting. “Three Bridges” is taken from their upcoming new EP, The Raging River, which is out on February 5th through Red Creek, and will be distributed by Metal Blade (in North America).
- White Void have signed on to a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records, as they prepare for the release of their debut album. Anti will be out on March 12th, and you can check out a teaser of that album here.
- INNO, the dark metal project featuring members of Fleshgod Apocalypse and Hour Of Penance, premiered a new video today for “The Last Sun”. That track is taken from The Rain Under (Time To Kill Records), and you can give it a watch immediately below.
