CANTO: Nightmarer, Pupil Slicer, Signs of the Swarm, and More

I literally cannot stop listening to Terrasite. So god damn good.

  • Dissonant death metal entity Nightmarer unveiled a new single from Deformity Adrift. Stream “Brutalist Imperator” here. That album is slated for a May 5 release through Total Dissonance Worship in the US and Vendetta Records in Europe.
  • Black Tusk have a small handful of live dates coming up in May, which includes a performance at Hell in the Harbor Festival and a couple shows with Restless Spirit. Here’s the schedule.
  • Sigh have announced a new live album, Live: Eastern Forces Of Evil 2022, which will be out on June 23 through Peaceville. Here’s that preorder link, if you need it.
  • Ahead of their tour with Whitechapel, Entheos, and Archspire, Signs Of The Swarm dropped a new standalone single through Century Media titled “Amongst the Low & Empty”. Give that a watch and listen here.
  • Closing out, we have new material from Pupil Slicer. Check out the video for “No Temple” below, the second track taken from their upcoming sophomore album, Blossom. That’s set for a June 2 release through Prosthetic Records.

CANTO: Power Trip, Whitechapel, Battle Born, and More

Hey, at least tomorrow is my Friday.

  • Power Trip teased an announcement yesterday that this team was anticipating quite heavily… so we’ll lead in with that news. Southern Lord will be releasing Live In Seattle on vinyl, CD, and digitally on June 23, just about three years after the original release of the 2018 performance.
  • Whitechapel have a headlining run kicking off in the near future, and today they dropped a new video for “I Will Find You”. That track is from Kin, a 2021 release that will be performed in full on this upcoming tour.
  • Next up we have a new track and video from Battle Born premiering over at Distorted Sound. “Dragon Heart” is taken from Blood, Fire, Magic and Steel, which is out May 12 through Prosthetic Records.
  • Dying Wish dropped a clip for “Torn From Your Silhouette”. Give that a watch and listen here. Of course, that comes following December’s single and video, “Now You’ll Rot”.
  • Fear Factory are reissuing Mechanize and Re-industrialized on June 23 through Nuclear Blast. But that’s not all! They also shared a lyric video for a remixed and remastered version of “New Messiah”. Give that a watch below.

CANTO: Anomalie, Whitechapel, Omnium Gatherum, and More

Squeezing one more in this week, just because I was cleaning out the inbox anyway.

  • We’ll start with Anomalie, one of my favorite discoveries of the last couple years. Their new album, Tranceformation, is out on November 5th through AOP Records, and today they shared a new track titled “Cerulean Sun”, which features Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ. Awesome.
  • And then we have Whitechapel, who are following up on the news of their massive upcoming tour with Cannibal Corpse with a new track and video for “Orphan”. That’s another one taken from Kin, which is out on October 29th through Metal Blade Records.
  • Sticking with Metal Blade for another couple seconds, if you couldn’t wait to hear God Ends Here, the latest from Aeon, the full album is now available for streaming right here.
  • Wiegedood, which is kinda just fun to say (assuming I’m saying it right), dropped a new track today titled “Nuages”. That’s taken from their upcoming new album, There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road, which will be available on January 14th through Century Media.
  • I guess we’re going to double up on Century Media today as well. Omnium Gatherum (also fun to say) released a video for the new track “Fortitude”. Origin is out on November 5th, and the aforementioned video is available below. Enjoy that while I finalize packing for L.A.
