CANTO: Anomalie, Whitechapel, Omnium Gatherum, and More

Squeezing one more in this week, just because I was cleaning out the inbox anyway.

  • We’ll start with Anomalie, one of my favorite discoveries of the last couple years. Their new album, Tranceformation, is out on November 5th through AOP Records, and today they shared a new track titled “Cerulean Sun”, which features Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ. Awesome.
  • And then we have Whitechapel, who are following up on the news of their massive upcoming tour with Cannibal Corpse with a new track and video for “Orphan”. That’s another one taken from Kin, which is out on October 29th through Metal Blade Records.
  • Sticking with Metal Blade for another couple seconds, if you couldn’t wait to hear God Ends Here, the latest from Aeon, the full album is now available for streaming right here.
  • Wiegedood, which is kinda just fun to say (assuming I’m saying it right), dropped a new track today titled “Nuages”. That’s taken from their upcoming new album, There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road, which will be available on January 14th through Century Media.
  • I guess we’re going to double up on Century Media today as well. Omnium Gatherum (also fun to say) released a video for the new track “Fortitude”. Origin is out on November 5th, and the aforementioned video is available below. Enjoy that while I finalize packing for L.A.

Cannibal Corpse

One more day…

  • Emma Ruth Rundle, who had just been announced as a performer at FITM 2022, dropped a new track titled “Blooms of Oblivion”. That’s another one taken from Engine of Hell, which is out on November 5th through Sargent House.
  • Khemmis have announced some West Coast dates next January, supporting Deceiver. Not a thing I can do unfortunately, but tickets go on sale Friday for those that can. As a reminder, that album is out on November 19th through Nuclear Blast.
  • The primary tour announcement of the day, however, came from Cannibal Corpse, who announced a run of shows in February and March with the likes of Whitechapel, Revocation, and Shadow Of Intent. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
  • American Teeth have announced that their debut album, We Should Be Having Fun, will be out on October 29th through Fearless Records, along with a new video for the track “Kickflip”. Give that a listen right here.
  • And we’ll wrap up the day with the new live video from Igorrr for “Camel Dancefloor”. That footage is from the Pol’And’Rock Festival from back in July. Give it a watch below.

CANTO: Erdve, Whitechapel, Gaahls WYRD, and More

I photographed a show last night! …And am aggressively paying for it today. I’ve missed this.

  • Let’s lead off with Gaahls WYRD, who announced a new mini album titled The Humming Mountain. The official release date is November 5th through Season of Mist, but you can check out one of the five new tracks, the title track, right now.
  • Gemini Syndrome have announced the “Initiation” U.S. tour, that runs from October 28th through November 27th. They’ll be supported directly by Ovtlier and Oh! The Horror, and tickets can be acquired here.
  • In case you missed the Erdve performance from the Lukiškės prison in Lithuania, which took place last September, the full show is now available for streaming.
  • Sijjin have set November 12th as the release date for their debut through Sepulchral Voice Records. Sumerian Promises can be pre-ordered here, and be sure to check out the first new track, “Darkness on Saqqara”, right here.
  • Whitechapel dropped another new single and video from Kin, titled “A Bloodsoaked Symphony”, which we’ll close with on this fine Thursday. Just a reminder, that album drops on October 29th through Metal Blade.

CANTO: Full of Hell, Omnium Gatherum, Negură Bunget, and More

I don’t always like taking Monday off from this stuff because there’s so much going on, but life be like that sometimes.

  • We’ll start with Omnium Gatherum, who have set November 5th as the release date for Origins. Their new full-length album will be out through Century Media, and the video for the first single taken from that album, “Paragon”, is available right here.
  • Whitechapel have also unveiled details about their next album. Kin will be out on October 29th through Metal Blade, and a new track, titled “Lost Boy”, can be streamed here. Side note: I dig the artwork of this one.
  • Negură Bunget, which is just super fun to say, are also among those to announce upcoming new albums. Their final album, Zău, will be out on November 26th through Prophecy Productions. These always come with a new single/video, so here’s the link to “Brad”.
  • More videos today. Low hanging fruit and all that. Check out the clip from American Teeth for “Sick”. Sure is a lot going on there… and I’m not necessarily complaining.
  • We’re going to close with the new video from Full of Hell because of course we are. Check out the clip for “Reeking Tunnels” below. That’s taken from Garden of Burning Apparitions, which drops on October 1st through Relapse Records.
