Lacuna Coil have a new album announcement. It actually came our way yesterday, but, ya know, I’m me. Black Anima will be out on October 11th via Century Media Records.
Shadow Frost Music & Arts Festival have revealed a mostly complete lineup for their 2020 event in Frederick, MD. Highlights include Primitive Man, Vastum, Magic Circle, etc.
Slayer have announced The Final Campaign. The final leg of their farewell tour begins on November 2nd and ends on the 30th. Support will be in the form of Primus, Ministry, and Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals for all dates.
Hey, check it out. You can listen to the title track from the upcoming Mizmor album, Cairn. It’s long and it’s awesome.

Leading off, Suffocation revealed the artwork for their new album, …Of the Dark Light, and let’s just say, it’s pretty dope. The album drops June 9 via Nuclear Blast.

Good morning, it’s time to metal. Here’s some news you might have missed from yesterday:

Leading off with one we missed from over the weekend — whoops! — but it’s particularly cool, so we’re gonna play catch-up: the Shadow Woods Metal Festival announced its 2017 lineup, and holy crap is this one a dandy. Panopticon, Vastum, Uada, Woe and tons more. Get on it.

Cool tour alert: Primus has announced an extensive run of summer dates with Clutch. I’ve never seen Primus, and the one time I did see Clutch, I was too wasted to remember much, so…I might have to dabble with this one.

Mike Scheidt’s been through hell over the last few months, so a bit of great news on that front: the YOB frontman successfully underwent a second surgery as part of his recovery from diverticulitis. Here’s hoping Mike heals up further and gets back to doing what he does best: utter sonic devastation.

Remember that then-untitled new Danzig album we told you about on Friday? Well, it’s got a title: Black Laden Crown. Hooray?

And finally, Ghost Bath released a new song called “Ambrosial,” which you can hear below:

Chris Adler had a pretty good run with Megadeth, or so we thought. Looks like the drummer is out of the mix going forward. Now what will Dave do?
130 individuals have been arrested for association with a crime ring in Houston directed at vehicles and trailers of musicians. We all know about these issues, but this is a very good thing regardless.
I was on the fence about the second Blind Guardian tour in the past 12 months. Now I’m more committed. They will be playing Imaginations From The Other Side in full when they make their way across North America this fall.
This was a sobering event from this past weekend. Primus drummer Tim Alexander suffered a second heart attack. He seems to be home resting at this point. All the best to him.
Sepultura debuted a new song live. It’s called “I Am The Enemy”. Check it out.

Greetings! It’s Monday and I’m busy as all hell. So here we go.

Here’s an apathy-inducing bit. Looks like Disturbed is back from their time off. If only anybody gave two shits.
We don’t have any news on some form of a new Tool album… but we do know that they will be playing a Halloween gig with Primus. At least they’re doing something?
Can’t say I’m surprised by this one, either. Slipknot have confirmed that they will be taking some time off after this round of touring. I can’t really blame them… they’ve been busy as all hell.
Some of you may find this a bit ironic, but it appears that heavy music actually makes its listeners happier. Science has spoken!
Look out, Archer fans — Children of Bodom will be covering Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” on I Worship Chaos.
