For those that have the ability to get to Northwest Terror Fest, I recommend that you make that happen, for I cannot. The lineup for 2022 features Panopticon, Ludicra, Repulsion… etc, etc. Honestly, it’s absolutely stacked. Tickets can be acquired here, but I expect them to go quickly.
Exodus dropped the second single (with lyric video) from Persona Non Grata, titled “Clickbait”. Just a casual reminder that the new album drops on November 19th through Nuclear Blast.
I’m also going to throw in something I completely (and stupidly) missed earlier this week. And that, of course, is the news from Thulcandra. It’s been forever since Ascension Lost, but I’m happy to share that a new album, A Dying Wish, drops on October 29th through Napalm Records. Check out the new track, “Funeral Pyre”, here.
We’ll close with the latest video from Insomnium, because that will let me cruise into the weekend on a high note. Below you’ll find the clip for“The Wanderer”, the latest track taken from Argent Moon. That EP is officially out today through Century Media.
And then we have Aborted, who dropped the third single (and video) from ManiaCult. Check out the clip for the title-track now. That album drops on September 10th through Century Media, and can be pre-ordered on all the formats right here.
Let’s stick with Century Media for a bit. Vildhjarta have announced some more new things. Their next effort, titled måsstaden under vatten, will be out on October 15th, and you can already check out visualizers for two new tracks: “kaos2” and “toxin”.
And we may as well wrap up with the new video from The Absence, for “Faith In Uncreation”. That track is taken from Coffinized, their fifth studio album, which dropped back on June 25th through M-Theory Audio.
Columbus-based rock collective Beartooth have announced “The Journey Below” streaming event. That is scheduled for July 14th, and supports their new album, Below, which is out now through Red Bull Records. Check out a trailer for the event here.
Canadian metal festival Loud As Hell is making its return this summer, July 30th through August 1st, basically a month following the easing of restrictions. The lineup is still to come, which is kind of gnarly considering this is only a month away. Either way, weekend passes are available here for those interested.
Finnish black metal project Azazel have announced September 24th as the release date for Aegrus Satanas Tecum. That marks the third full-length effort, which will be out through Primitive Reaction. Check out the new track, “Demons Attack the Nun’s Chapel”, right here.
And we’ll wrap up Monday with the new video from Brzask, for “In the Forest of Karkonosze”. Pretty sure that’s a standalone single? Not sure. But if you want some more black metal in your day, have at it.
Howdy y’all and welcome to another Saturday morning playlist. This week, I went and saw Dashboard Confessional again so you know what that means, we’ve got all the new singles to keep you covered, plus classic Blind Guardian and Crowbar cuts, and because our Fearless Leader is who he is, just a little Merle Haggard to round things out. It’s a full house of picks this time around, so check all that out and more at the link below.
Exodus have announced a performance at SDCC, specifically on July 18th at the House of Blues. I like when comics and metal combine, even though I’m really not in tune with the former scene. So basically I like when metal and literally anything else combines, I suppose.
Earth Rot have signed to Season of Mist, and are planning a new album release later this year. No details behind that release have surfaced yet (that I am aware of), but this is still good news for the death metallers and I’m pumped about it.
