We’re officially past the halfway point of 2021, it’s swamp ass hot, and live shows are all of a sudden on thin ice again. What the fresh hell is this?! Don’t answer that, but just keep your ears on all the excellent metal this year has had, and will have, to offer. On that note, this week’s batch of shiny new tunes includes a debut EP from Eyes of Perdition that’s heavy on death metal, boils over with hardcore attitude and is fantastic all the way through, Infex hits all the early Testament thrash feels, Lorna Shore shreds eardrums with their sick deathcore, and Ænigmatum offer up some speedy, melodic, and technical death metal.
