A single hour on trail sure does balance out nine hours stuck at a desk.

• I guess we’ll start with a tour again! Dying Wish announced an October headlining run with direct support from Pain of Truth. That party kicks off on the 7th in Houston, and tickets go on sale this coming Friday here.
• Next up, here is a new (static) video from God Is An Astronaut for “Embers”. That’s the title track from their upcoming new album, which arrives on September 6 through Napalm Records.
• Anciients are releasing a new album on August 30 through Season of Mist, titled Beyond the Reach of the Sun. To start gearing up for the release of their third album, check out the visualizer for the new track “In the Absence of Wisdom”.
• Carpenter Brut is a thing that I like, so let’s jump to their cover of Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without A Face”, which features Krystoffer Rygg of Ulver. That was released in partnership with the Sumerian Comics’ American Psycho series.
• And to close out Wednesday (thankfully), we’ve got the latest from Uniform. The clip for “Permanent Embrace” is below, a track from American Standard. That one is out on August 23 through Sacred Bones.
