As the week begins to finally wind down, I realize I kinda like Thursday. Because once Thursday ends, I get to hit the I-Don’t-Give-A-Shit Button until Monday morning. And for that, I thank you. So yeah, only one more day this working week, but plenty of metal news to spew forth:

• Ya know what’s exciting? New Obituary. It’s been a few years, this is certainly a welcomed update.
• Metallica fans confuse me as much Metallica does these days. I mean, St. Anger was performed live… by request? Maybe I’m missing something… although I doubt it.
• For those unaware, Acid Bath needs a new vocalist… might that be Corey Taylor? Seems like they’re looking into it.
• Everyone know about Justin Bourque? He’s the guy that went on a killing spree that took the lives of three police officers. Apparently his Facebook featured Dethklok and Megadeth lyrics immediately beforehand. Not good. Any of this.
• For those patiently awaiting Once More ‘Round the Sun, here’s a making-of clip. These guys are entertaining. If there are more of these, they have some potential to be good views.
• Tony Iommi received an honorary doctorate from Coventry University… and is now a professor. Because why the shit not.
• For those unaware of Young And In The Way, here’s a video for ‘Final Dose’. These guys are kinda intense. Or try to be, depending on how you see it.

I’d kinda like to see these guys live. But it’d mostly be a curiosity thing. Just be glad I didn’t share a Dark Apostle video… which I almost did. You would have really hated me then.
