Busy day for us here at Horns Up today! A #tbt, an album review, even a little “breaking news” update this afternoon about that new Leviathan song! I like the idea of doing more timely news updates—and if you do, too, you should come do them for us! But until we can do so on a more regular basis, you’re stuck with our daily Quickies wrap-ups. Which brings us here: it’s Quickies time—let’s see what we missed in the metal world today!
- Speaking of bands putting out new songs today, Lord Dying did just that as well! Check out “Offering Pain” here.
- Fallujah has announced a spring tour with Archspire and Lorna Shore, and seriously, what the hell is it with this band and playing New York-area shows out in goddamn AMITYVILLE? That’s two tours in a row. Fix your shit.
- Some news for any ’80s hair metal heads out there: (I mean, they have to exist, right?) it looks like Stephen Pearcy may have quit Ratt for good. Excuse me while I carry on giving no fucks either way.
- Apparently, Sister Sin vocalist Liv Jagrell is going to appear in Penthouse magazine. This raises one question: what the hell is a Sister Sin?
- Your move, Rick Allen.
- And finally, had your dose of intentionally-bad (I’m assuming?) metal videos yet today? No? Well, we’ve got you covered with one from a band called Frozen By Fire. Check out “Driving Me Insane:”
Hat tip to the guys at Lambgoat for bringing that one to our attention. Anyway, that’ll do it for now. Check back tomorrow for more!
-Dan
