Quickies! It’s Friday and I am more than spent for this week, so let’s not waste any more time than we need to–here’s what we missed in the metal world today:
- Looks like Pentagram will be finishing up a new record, their first since 2011’s Last Rites, in a few weeks. There’s also some vague rumblings about tour news and stuff. Neat.
- Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares says the band’s new album will sound like…zzzzzzzz…
- Earlier today, Metal Insider posed the question of who should play this year’s Rockstar Mayhem festival, prompting an even more important question: who cares?
- Y’know, for a rotting corpse of once-mighty band, Mötley Crüe didn’t actually sound that terrible during their performance on The Tonight Show last night.
- And finally, Napalm Death premiered a video for a new song called “Smash A Single Digit.” Give it a watch below:
“Smash A Single Digit” is off the band’s new album, Apex Predator: Easy Meat. Which drops next week. We’re just a tad excited about that. Anyway, until then…
Keep it heavy,
-Dan
