Buenos dias, amigos! Welcome to the center of hell. On a bright note, today is a special day because the USA Women’s Soccer Team are rolling through the Canyon of Heroes in New York City to celebrate their World Cup Championship! So that’s super exciting. Especially if you’re in the New York City area and can actually see Rapinoe, Wambach, Rampone, Morgan, Lloyd, Klingenberg, Johnston, Holiday, Krieger, Solo, O’Hara and crew in person! So get excited!
Now, on a darker note, but also an exciting one, August 7th is the release date for the new Deiphago album, Into the Eye of Satan. From the umpteen different listens I have already given the album, I can guarantee you that it’s genius. The band hails from the Philippines, but since that’s not often a hot bed for blackened death metal (or as I prefer to call it, “plague metal”), these guys have since dropped roots in Costa Rica, where their unique blend of metal and avant garde style has blended to form something brilliant.
In that spirit, here is some Satanic love for your Friday morning coffee break. Below is Deiphago’s 2012 release, Satan Alpha Omega. It’s everything you could want out of an aggressive, angry blackened death metal album. So listen to Deiphago, praise Satan and ALL HAIL USA WOMEN’S SOCCER! CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!
