And a happy Monday to you all! Today’s Visions ov Hell brings us a new lyric video from the upcoming triple disc (yes, that’s an album with so many songs it required three entire compact discs.) The track is “Abandoned by the Light” which appears on the third disco of their upcoming monster release, Songs from the North. After the jump you can check our the nine-minute sojourn through the oceanic abyss highlighted by a full closed-captioning of the lyrics. Get excited because Dustin Grooms took the time to review this behemoth of an album, all thirty-three tracks of it and his review will be popping up Wednesday afternoon.

I’m not going to pretend like I spent four hours of my life listening to the entirety of the Swallow the Sun triple album Songs from the North. I did watch the video below though. It’s got elements of doom, funeral doom and ambient, gothic symphonic keyboard work. It’s actually a pretty great song. So if you have the time to be depressed as all hell for almost ten minutes you should definitely click play, pop a few downers and enjoy the arcing beauty that reveals itself slowly across “Abandoned by the Light.”

Also, Swallow the Sun is about to embark on a European tour so, if you’re across the pond, you should definitely check out their upcoming shows. My assumption is that they will play for at least five hours at each appearance.
