Hello, everyone. Who else isn’t remotely prepared for the rest of the holiday season? Good. Anyway, news time. Side note: These are mostly things from last Friday that I missed/was too lazy to share.
- Well, we finally have the confirmation we were looking for. Scott Weiland died of an accidental overdose of cocaine, ethanol, and MDA. Unsurprising, yet really, really sad.
- Soundwave Festival won’t be a thing in 2017. Or in 2016. Sure, the festival still took place this past year. Unfortunately, the bands that played are still a owed A LOT of money.
- Gojira are tracking vocals! Ok, I’m not actually that excited. But the concept of new Gojira is still a good one.
- Are you attending Blastfest next February? If you’re the United States… probably not. If you’re across the pond… maybe! If you’re on the fence, the festival announced a really sweet incentive to jump on a ticket before the end of the year. It involves Abbath.
- Ihsahn‘s Arktis is set to drop on March 4th. To you get you all jacked up for it, the lyric video for “Mass Darkness” dropped at the end of last week. It’s killer.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
