Nine Circles

Eat too much? Drink too much? Well, it is that time of year so pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get ready for a smorgasbord of a different flavor today on Initial Descent. The flavor is metal and we have plenty to go around. For starters, Witchery is back to their thrashy, hook laden metal on In His Infernal Majesty’s Service, Heavydeath drop some of the best doom metal heard this year on their second full length In Circles We Die, Dischordia show us exactly what it means to truly be a progressive death metal band on Thanatopsis, Primordial continue their reign as one of heavy metal’s elite on their live album Gods To the Godless, and Scorched remind us that death metal is supposed to be horrific and gruesome as well as heavy and nasty on Echoes of Dismemberment.
