It’s love week. Cupid, hearts….and all that. Who do you love? I say, who do you LOooOVE?! Whoa, the spirit of Bo Diddley got me for a sec. But, to further his point: we love metal and lists of new metal. We have both, in spades, right here. Keep reading, dear reader…
It’s been awhile since the last really good powerviolence fix but Endorphins Lost repair that missing element on the devastatingly vicious Seclusions – think Choose Your Way with more hate and venom. If you’ve been paying attention, speed metal with a heavy lean towards all things 80s is a very good thing and Chainbreaker do just that, tremendously so, on debut Lethal Desire. Saor don’t exactly break their own mold on Forgotten Paths but they still execute their brand of folk and atmospheric black metal well and if we we’re betting folks, we would bet that this album will be much better when played at Fire In the Mountains Fest. Last up top are the black ‘n’ punk phenoms Truchło Strzygi who offer one of the most seamless mixes of those two genres on Nad Którymi Nie Czuw Żaden Stróż.
Happy love week. Keep reading to find something you really love.
