Last week was bit of a blur what with all the news items and “theories,” Tool takes and thinkpieces keep coming in by the truck load, and Gatecreeper dropped a ballad off their upcoming album…a ballad. New week and new metal, so let’s do that.
Cerebral Rot go the caveman death metal route (in this case, a very good thing) on their debut, Devourment break a six year silence with their trademark brutal-techy-slammy death metal, Unburnt unleash blackened death metal hell across their four track EP, and Dialith bring unbridled symphonic power on their debut full length. Focus on this week and forget last week but don’t put away the popcorn just yet.

“You see Elaine, Dialith was a symphonic metal band and a simple country boy. You might say Dialith was a cockeyed optimist, who got itself mixed up in the high stakes game of symphonic metal, world diplomacy, and international intrigue.”
