CANTO: The Halo Effect, Black Tusk, Alice Cooper, and More

Today wasn’t exactly a fun one? But at least it’s almost over.

  • The Halo Effect, a new project featuring previous members of In Flames in Niclas Engelin, Jesper Strömblad, Peter Iwers, Daniel Svensson, as well as Mikael Stanne currently of Dark Tranquillity, have signed on with Nuclear Blast. The first single, “Shadowminds”, is coming around on November 9th, so be sure to pre-save that one here.
  • Black Tusk have announced a relatively brief run of shows in the U.S. later this month and into December. They’ll be joined by Restless Spirit, and the party begins on November 26th in Savannah as part of Two Tides Brewing Metal Fest (without Restless Spirit), and ends on December 6th in Raleigh.
  • Alice Cooper has also announced some new winter tour dates. Those take place in January and February, starting on the 28th in Cincinnati. Pre-sale starts tomorrow, and tickets go on sale to the general public this coming Friday, November 5th.
  • We’ve got a new one coming from the Iron Bonehead world. The debut from Furis Ignis, titled Decapitate the Aging World, is slated for a January 14th release, and you can stream “Witness The Nightsky Palpitating To The Beat Of Premonition” right now.
  • We’ll close out Monday with a new video from Opera Diabolicus, for “Bring Out Your Dead”. That’s taken from Death on a Pale Horse, which drops on November 26th through Season of Mist.
