I’m on weekend time as I write this, three bourbons deep, and have at least one of the below opening four new releases cranked in my headphones. Good times indeed. Which one of the four? You probably didn’t ask but I’m telling anyway… Devangelic‘s Xul which is just as massive as I knew it would be. Brutal death meets extremely technical prowess and holy nuts this thing blazes. Elsewhere we’ve got black metal from Bacchus (up next, by the way), part sludge and part noise from Sunrot, deathgrind from heretic plague, and a slew of other releases in the long list that resides further below.
