Strange times, these. But, one more day until some more, albeit brief, travel.

• Ulcerate announced a North American headlining tour in November, where they’ll be joined by Altars. That run will be in support of Stare Into Death And Be Still, which was our staff’s top album in 2020, as it happens.
• Next up, On Thorns I Lay. They’ve signed on with Season of Mist for the release of a new self-titled album, coming on October 13. Check out the lyric video for “Newborn Skies” right here.
• Hinayana is a project I’ve been following pretty much from the beginning, so I’m happy to share the new video for “Pitch Black Noise”. That’s taken from the 2020 Nuclear Blast released EP Death Of The Cosmic, which you can pick up here if you need it.
• Baltimore black metal outfit Nixil shared “Abyss Unto Abyss”, the latest sampling taken from The Wound Spilled Forth Fire. That album is out on August 25 through Prosthetic Records.
• Closing out, it’s the 10th anniversary announcement for Sunbather. Deafheaven is releasing a remixed and remastered version on November 17 through Deathwish Inc, and a fresh clip for “Vertigo” can be seen below.
