The first real winter snow is on its way. Queue up the black metal!

  • Faroe Island-based folk metallers Týr have announced a North American headlining tour early next year, where they’ll be joined by Trollfest, Æther Realm, and The Dread Crew Of Oddwood. Dates are mostly in April, and they’ll be supporting an upcoming new album, Battle Ballads, which should be out in that same general timeframe. Get all the details here.
  • Heavy psych act AAWKS revealed a new single titled “The Figure”. That’s a taste of their new EP, Luna, which arrives on December 8 through Black Throne Productions.
  • Pivoting over to some death metal, Swiss project Voice of Ruin shared a video for a track off of their upcoming fifth album, titled “Bloody Salvation”. Cold Epiphany is slated for a December 1 release.
  • Dipygus are releasing their self-titled third album on January 22 through Memento Mori and Crypt of the Wizard. Hear the brand new track, “Perverse Termination”, right here.
  • And to wrap up, the latest from Kill The Thrill. The unique French metal project are releasing their fifth album, Autophagie, which will be out on January 26 through Season of Mist. Check out the clip for the title-track below.
