I went for a run today. It was cold. But it was also awesome. Now what did I miss in metal news?
- We’ll lead in with the latest from Isenordal, the unique doom act out of Seattle. The latest single from their forthcoming new album, titled “Await Me, Ultima Thule”, can be heard here. And keep Requiem for Eirênê on your radar, out March 8 through Prophecy Productions.
- North Sea Echoes, the new project stemming from the minds of Ray Alder and Jim Matheos of Fates Warning, are dropping their debut on February 23 through Metal Blade, titled Really Good Terrible Things. Give the lyric video for “Open Book” a watch and listen.
- We’ve got some Big|Brave fans around here I think. A Chaos Of Flowers is slated for an April 19 release through Thrill Jockey, and you can get a preview with “I felt a funeral” here.
- Next up, a little… pop metal. The new video from Amaranthe for “Re-Vision” can be seen here. That is, of course, taken from their upcoming new album, The Catalyst, which is out on February 23 through Nuclear Blast.
- Wrapping up with Enslaved is never a bad idea. We’re a year out from the release of Heimdal, and to mark the occasion a deluxe digital edition of their latest album arrives on March 1, also through Nuclear Blast. Check out a visualizer for “Gangandi” below.
