Any fans of Bare Knuckle Fighting (BKFC)? If not, and if you love combat sports, do yourself a favor and check it out. If you can’t stand combat sports then I guess it’s a good thing we’re about to fill you in on this week’s incoming metal…at least you’ll have something extreme to enjoy. Ok then, Initial Descent time and we get the ball rollin’ with an intense yet excellent EP from God Mother. If you’ll remember, this is the same band that Dillinger (Escape Plan) was absolutely enamored with and they’ve literally heard it all so take a cue from them, and us, and seek out this EP. Next up is new metal from Vhäldemar and while power metal typically isn’t in my wheelhouse these guys pulled me in a few records back and I’m glad to hear they’re still kickin’ ass, next up is new stuff from the absolute legends Necrophagia and even though they enlisted some Grade A help here for this final release, and the album cover may make an appearance on Cursed Imagery this month, it still sounds like the days of old from these cats, then we’ve got Six Feet Under and whether you love or hate old man Barnes there’s no denying they’re still putting out reliable death metal after all these years, and of course a ton more good stuff in the list that follows.
