I’ve reached way back into my library so far this week, and it has been awesome.
- Here we go. Blood Incantation announced a new album, which stopped us all in our tracks today. Absolute Elsewhere arrives on October 4 through Century Media, and it’s comprised of two tracks totaling 45 minutes. God damn.
- Alright, how are we going to follow that up? With experimental black metal in the form Scarcity. Their sophomore album, The Promise of Rain is out on July 12 through The Flenser, and the title track can be heard now.
- Staying in the black metal realm for now, we next have Agrypnie. Their seventh album, Erg, gets here on September 13 through AOP Records. Give “Aus rauchlosem Feuer” a listen, a track which features Phil Jonas of Secrets of the Moon.
- German death metal crew Typhonian are dropping The Gate of the Veiled Beyond on September 20 through Transcending Obscurity. Check out a couple of new tracks, “The Gatekeeper” and “A Glimpse at the Starless Ocean”, over on Bandcamp.
- Finally, Within The Ruins are releasing Phenomena II on August 23 through MNRK Heavy, and marked the announcement with the video for “Castle In The Sky”. Enjoy that, while I enjoy… I have no idea. Something else.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
