I don’t know exactly how, but we did in fact make it to the end of this week. Let it rip.

  • The hype around the new Opeth track is quite justified. The Last Will And Testament is out on October 11, and the radio edit for “§1” is probably all you need to lock your preorder in. Yes, it is very, very good.
  • Fargo-based death metal faction Maul are releasing their second LP on October 4 through 20 Buck Spin, titled In The Jaws Of Bereavement. Check out the title track, which features The Acacia Strain’s Vincent Bennett.
  • The Plot In You are releasing a new EP, Vol. 3, on November 8 through Fearless Records. As part of that announcement they offered up the new track “Been Here Before”, a video for which can be seen here.
  • Rabid death/black metal outfit Concrete Winds revealed the second track from their self-titled third album, titled “Subterranean Persuasion”. That album arrives on August 30 through Sepulchral Voice Records. And now we’re going to close out the week with something very not-this…
  • Which could or should be the new Blind Guardian video, yeah? Yeah, definitely. The revisited version of “The Bard’s Song – In The Forest” is below. This shit literally never gets old. Somewhere Far Beyond Revisited is out today.

“Tomooooorrow will take us away, farrrrr from home / No one will eeeeever know our naaaaames, but the bards’ songs will remain…”

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
