Complications of being in my 30s, part 376 (at least): Highlights of my day today included 1. Lining up shows on back-to-back nights in Boston next month, and 2. …Watching the hummingbirds buzz around outside my window. We contain multitudes.
- Speaking of shows, let’s start with a tour I wish were coming through this area. The Plot In You is headlining a run, and they’ll be supported by Currents, Zero 9:36, and Wind Walkers. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday.
- And a second tour that we should all have committed to memory: Blood Incantation. Absolute Elsewhere is out on October 4 through Century Media, and they’re taking that on the road in November and early December (following a record release show). Those tickets also go on sale this coming Friday.
- Dreamless Veil have signed on with Relapse Records for the release of their debut full-length, titled Every Limb Of The Flood. That arrives on September 20 and you can preorder that and stream “A Generation of Eyes” here.
- Out of Sumerian Records, The Native Howl released their take on Johnny Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”. A visualizer for that can be seen here.
- And we’ll roll on out of this Tuesday with The Black Dahlia Murder and their animated video for “Mammoth’s Hand”. Their tenth studio album, Servitude, is out on September 27 through Metal Blade Records.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
