This week certainly is off to… a start! But now it’s time to watch hockey and get sad. So things are trending… in a direction!

• We’ll open up with some death metal in the form of Defeated Sanity. With their seventh studio album out on November 22 through Season of Mist, titled Chronicles of Lunacy, they revealed “Accelerating The Rot” as the latest sample from that effort.
• Jumping to some Arizona rock from there. Archetypes Collide released a visualizer for the new track “Hollow High” (pfffft been there). That’s their first new material since, well, only last year. They’re fine.
• New York heavy doom rock collective Sons of Ghidorah have inked a deal with Argonauta Records, and to celebrate they shared a new single, the title track from their upcoming new album. Hallowmas is out… eventually.
• How about a dose of post-deathcore? Burial Path offered up a pretty mesmerizing video for “The Luminary”. This isn’t exactly deathcore as I know it, and that’s pretty cool.
• And in the spirit of spoop season, we’ll end Tuesday with the latest from Cradle of Filth. Check out “Malignant Perfection” below. It’s pretty much everything you’d want from a CoF video. We’ll stay tuned for details around their next studio album, which will be out through Napalm Records.
