This week currently feels like it isn’t existing. I don’t know how I feel about that. News time!
- Norwegian avant-garde metal legends In The Woods… have signed a fresh multi-album deal with Prophecy Productions. We’ll see how they follow up Diversum, an album I happened to like quite a bit! Sounds like their next studio album should be here in 2025.
- The Eternal just released Skinwalker back in June through RPM, but they aren’t done with 2024 just yet. Today they announced the new standalone single “Everlasting – MMXXIV”. That’s a reimagined take on the track from Sleep Of Reason.
- Epica also released a new single today, titled “Arcana”, their first new material since Omega and their collaboration EP The Alchemy Project. That should be a glimpse into what’s coming from them next year, so we’ll stay tuned.
- Overt Enemy is next on the list. The Texas-based metallers dropped an intense new track with a lyric video, titled “Eradication”. That’s a peak into their next album, Insurrection, which is set for a release later next year. Noticing a trend?
- And we’ll wrap up with Gaerea because I’ve been stuck on Coma nonstop since its release. A video for the title track is below, arriving just before their North American tour that I really want to catch but probably won’t be able to.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
