Midweek adventures sure are awesome. Because now it’s almost the weekend! And I sure do need it.

  • How about we start with some gloomy black metal post-hardcore stuff? Svarta Havet released “Alla Sover”, the first taste from their upcoming new album Månen Ska Lysa Din Väg. That’s out on May 9th through Prosthetic Records, their new label home.
  • I think we’re going to cover some ground tonight. Dark folk project Hrafnagaldr dropped their haunting first single, “Hailiþō”. That project emerges from multi-instrumentalist Hrímhjarta (Uada, Altars of the Moon, etc.) and features celloist Kakophonix (Osi & the Jupiter, Opus Est Sanare).
  • For something fun, fast, and vintage, Myth Carver dropped a new video for “Untamed Steel”. That track is pulled from their new debut EP, Twist of Fate.
  • Ukrainian atmospheric black metal band Labyrinthus Stellarum announced that their third studio album, Rift in Reality, will be out on May 2, 2025 via Archivist Records. Here’s some more info about all of that.
  • Finnish doom outfit Bell of Mimir have signed on with Argonauta Records and Octopus Rising. To celebrate the occasion they revealed the new track “Dark and Silent”, and a video for it can be seen below. Enjoy that, while I run the fuck away.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
