Lots of good stuff emerged today! Let’s get this done so that I can have a beer on the deck. Or multiple beers. Definitely multiple beers.

  • Let’s open up with Between the Buried and Me. Their InsideOutMusic debut, The Blue Nowhere, is coming on September 12th. Based on “Things We Tell Ourselves In The Dark”, we should be in for quite the ride with this one. I’m excited.
  • Next up, we have a metalcore outfit that I have grown quite fond of. Wind Walkers released a new single (and music video) through Fearless Records titled “Eating My Heart Out”. Catch them on the road this summer with Our Last Night and Grayscale.
  • New Panopticon upcoming? Hello! First up, we have Laurentian Blue, which will be the darkest folk material from that project so far, and a companion record to …And Again Into the Light. But there’s more! Songs of Hiraeth is also on the way, a collection of older or forgotten material brought forward to present day. Both albums will be released on August 15th through Bindrune and Nordvis.
  • Out of Nuclear Blast, Blackbriar released a soaring new single titled “Harpy”. Their new album, A Thousand Little Deaths, is out on August 22nd.
  • My favorite news of the day, however, came from Psychonaut. They announced a new album is set for a October 24th release. World Maker will be out through Pelagic Records and a video for “Endless Currents” is below.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
