Nursing a foot injury but still getting it done with a ruck vest and my garage floor at 4am everyday so hey, foot injury: suck it. This also means that instead of rocking the earbuds with audiobooks on runs I need “wake the neighbors up loud and abrasive” to keep me moving so cue this week’s tip of the spear Deadguy. 30+ years is a long time in bruising metalcore but these guys sound more relentless and dangerous than they ever have so it is picture perfect for my needs plus it’s an incredible album. Then we’ve got Lenax with some wicked good melodic black metal and FINALLY with a full length—been following these guys for a minute with their singles and this debut is legit. Beyond that is one of my favorite death metal acts going today, Inhuman Condition, back with a friggin’ banger, and Putridity get the brutal death juices flowing like a burst aorta. But, we’re not done yet as we’ve got a ton more in the list that follows so check all these out and we’ll be seeing you here throughout the week.
