Tomorrow is a holiday. I plan to be away from the laptop (most of) the day. Which laptop? Every single one of them.

• American avant-garde metal band Kayo Dot are releasing a new album on August 1st through Prophecy Productions titled Every Rock, Every Half-Truth under Reason. With that announcement comes a video for “Closet Door in the Room Where She Died”. I can already tell this is going to be one intense album.
• Out of Nuclear Blast, we’ll move in a slightly different direction. Auri are releasing III – Candles & Beginnings on August 15th. Check out the video for the vibrant new single, “Museum Of Childhood”, right now.
• UK outfit High Parasite dropped a new song that features Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride titled “Cold”. Here’s the video for that one.
• Oakland death metal crew Barbarous are releasing Initium Mors on August 1st through Creator-Destructor Records, and the latest sample from that emerged today, titled “By Lead Or Steel”.
• And because FITM is only three weeks away, we will close with the latest from Blackbraid. The video for “The Dying Breath of a Sacred Stag” is below. Blackbraid III is out on August 8th. Oh, and if you won’t be joining me in the mountains, you can jump on this tour instead.
