The reality is, if I included but a single item in tonight’s post, that would be sufficient. Because it’s a big one.
- It’s Neurosis. With Aaron Turner joining on guitars and vocals, they’re marking their return with An Undying Love For A Burning World, their first new album in a decade. And it’s out today, so strap in everyone. But it gets better from there. They were also announced as the final headliner for Fire In The Mountains this coming July. The best festival on the planet keeps getting better, and more important. I cannot wait.
- Alright I guess we can cover a couple of other things. New Jersey heavy metal crew Who On Earth announced their forthcoming new album, It Takes The Village, will be out on May 8th. The second single from that, “Any Other Way”, can be seen and heard here.
- I missed this earlier, but Alissa White-Gluz is back with a new project. That would be Blue Medusa, and they released a new single today titled “Checkmate”.
- Death metal out of Arizona tends to be pretty good, so let’s introduce ourselves to Wyrmhaven. Their debut album, Seasons Of Gloom, will be out on May 29th and “Morning Star” is streaming now.
- And then we’ll end the week with Poison The Well. A video for “Weeping Tones” is below, marking the release of Peace in Place, their first album in 15 years. That’s out through SharpTone.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
