You weren’t worthy of Quickies on Friday.

• Starting things off on a low note, the metal community lost Jonathon Athon, bassist of Black Tusk. He passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He will be missed.
• Onto the weird. Nergal opened a barbershop in Poland (ummm… sure, why not?). Now I feel like I need a haircut. I shaved my head a week ago. Don’t care!
• Machine Head announced a new tour! I’ve got my eyes on that Brighton Music Hall date 1-31-2014. I always get weird there. Hopefully this one doesn’t get canceled…
• Marilyn Manson has also been busy. His new album, The Pale Emperor, comes out in January. This is less exciting.
• How about some Cancer Bats? Because Cancer Bats.

I saw these guys a long, long time ago. And I gotta say, this is far better than what they had in their catalog back in 2007.
