Ha! See what I did there? Normally, I’m a bit of a grammar snob and hate spelling out any numbers greater than ten, but this particular wordplay wouldn’t have translated numerically. (Also, just thinking ahead here, can you imagine how much fun I’m going to have with this 10 years from now? I won’t spell the number out, but if you can’t figure it out…you may be a dope.)
Anyway, let’s celebrate the start of Nikki’s seventh year of AARP eligibility with a trip back to 1989, and the classic Crüe track he wrote about a near-fatal drug overdose–it’s “Kickstart My Heart!”
You know what? Full credit to Nikki for writing a song that could still be relevant to his life 25 years later. Of course now, the kick-start’s more likely to come from a pacemaker than an adrenaline shot, but either way, good on you, Nikki!
