Another addition to the Horns Up family! We’re pleased to introduce our newest contributor: Joy Merten! Here’s a bit more about Joy in her own words:

“I’m Joy and I’m from Chicago. I was raised on a steady diet of Metallica and Sabbath, and have been getting more interested in metal—especially of the underground and experimental varieties—for the past few years. I have a lot of love for Inter Arma (the best live band out there right now), Thou (I could listen to their covers all day), and weirder stuff like Panopticon and Botanist. I also DJ at a local radio station called CHIRP on Tuesday nights from 8-10 pm, central time.

If Panopticon is weird, we really don’t wanna be normal. Anyway, keep an eye out for Joy’s first post—a review of The Body / Thou’s You, Whom I Have Always Hated—later today!
