Friday at last. Good lord, it’ll be nice to get out of the office. Let’s get right to that. Here’s what we missed today:
- Apparently this is a thing people care about? Or maybe Metal Injection just needed some clickbait. I dunno. Regardless, Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares accused Meshuggah, Korn and Coal Chamber of ripping off the band’s riffs. Whatever.
- Iron Maiden are set to premiere their new song, “Speed of Light,” next week. This is one of those Harris-free compositions I was so excited about when they announced the thing. But despite what Bram Teitelman says, the album’s more than a week away. September 4, big guy.
- Guys. GUYS. It’s okay. Rush may not actually be going away forever.
- Hey, look at that, it’s another new Myrkur track! We’re only two weeks away from the release of M, but that didn’t stop Amalie Bruun from sharing “Mordet” with the world.
- And finally, here’s a new song from White Widows Pact:
“The Watch” will feature on the band’s new album, True Will, which drops October 16 on New Damage Records. That’s all for me. Later, kids.
Keep it heavy,
Dan
